Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all tutoring services provided by Abi's Advice Education (“I”, “me”, “my”) to you (“the student” or “the client”). By booking and paying for a session, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.

2. Bookings and Payment

  • Lessons must be booked in advance through the website booking page.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Lessons will not be confirmed until payment has been received.

3. Refunds and Cancellations

  • More than 48 hours’ notice - you may cancel or reschedule your session with no charge.

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice - the full session fee will be charged and no refund will be issued.

  • Missed sessions (no-show) - the full session fee will be charged and no refund will be issued.

  • Late arrivals - sessions will end at the scheduled time and no refund will be given for missed time.

  • Exceptional circumstances - I understand that genuine emergencies can happen. If you experience an unavoidable situation, please contact me as soon as possible and I will consider rescheduling at my discretion.​

  • If I need to cancel - I will reschedule the session at a mutually convenient time or issue a full refund.

  • All bookings are subject to these terms. By booking and paying for a session, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this refund and cancellation policy​.

4. Lesson Delivery

  • Lessons will be delivered online.

  • Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared. Lessons will end at the scheduled time, even if the student is late.

5. Code of Conduct

  • All lessons must be conducted in a respectful and professional manner.

  • For online sessions, the student must ensure they are in an appropriate environment (quiet, safe, free from distractions).

  • Where the student is under 18, a parent or guardian should ensure that the learning environment is suitable and may choose to remain nearby during online sessions.

  • Any inappropriate behaviour, language, or misuse of technology may result in the session being terminated without refund.

  • Recordings of lessons are not permitted unless agreed in advance by both parties.

6. Responsibilities​

  • I cannot guarantee specific grades, exam results, or university offers. My role is to provide high-quality guidance and support to help students achieve their goals, but admissions decisions and academic outcomes depend on multiple factors beyond my control.

  • I will provide tutoring with reasonable care, skill and professionalism.

  • The student (or parent/guardian for under 18s) is responsible for ensuring access to the agreed platform and providing any required materials.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

  • I will keep all student information strictly confidential and will process personal data in line with UK GDPR.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • I am not responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from the tutoring services, except where the law does not allow such exclusions.

9. Changes to These Terms

  • I may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on my website and will apply to new bookings from the date of publication.
